Fixed-installation posts for pitch boards and ball-stop nets
« Back to the Products page
The load-bearing structure of the board and ball-stop system consists of fixed-installation posts: 50×50×3 and 60×60×4 mm hot-dip galvanised hollow-section posts set 750–1000 mm deep in concrete. The board posts carry the board panels on welded brackets; the 6 m net posts hold the ball-stop net through their tensioning holes. Bracing posts stiffen the corners and the long sides.
A post system that can be extended later
Because posts set in concrete cannot be replaced afterwards, the demountable BX extension system allows existing board posts to be raised later. A pitch originally built without netting can thus be fitted with ball-stop nets, and in winter the extension posts and nets can be removed easily if the pitch is covered with a tent.

The system offers a solution specifically in the case of grounds constructed without a net system. The advantage of using this system is that it’s easy to install to the backboard supporting pillars in case of grounds without net. Using the BX system also allows the installation of either a net in the summer time or a tent in winter (the net and its pillars have to be removed in the latter case). |
| |
 |
 |
| The BX system has 3 parts: |
| |
T1. Extension pillar (50x50x3, 3950 mm long hollow section equipped with 2 pieces of net support borehole, hot dip galvanized with plastic button) |
T2. Extension shaft (42,6x3,5, 1000mm long iron tube with a 49x49x5 mm flat-iron in the middle, hot dip galvanized) |
T3. Extension cover (60x60x4, 100 mm long hollow section, hot dip galvanized) |

| Construction: |
|
|
| Please, make sure you follow the construction order! |
| First pull the T3 extension cover onto the pillars indicated with “A” (every third from the corners), then put the T2 shaft into it, and after that pull the T1 extension pillar onto the shaft paying attention to the right direction of the net holding boreholes. The net is installed after this with the help of the net stretching wires. Follow the order in reverse when dismantling. |
| |
| The extension pillars in the corners always have to be supported by the “BT5” supporters for sake of stable side set-up. |
